Laminate flooring is an exceptionally widely used choice of flooring due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and inexpensive price. A relatively new addition to the market, laminate has quickly grown in popularity as an alternative for real wood or stone floors. Laminate flooring is a type of artificial composite flooring made up of several layers, often with a fibreboard core covered with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally protected with a wear layer that helps to protect the floor from scratches and other forms of damage.
Because laminate floor incorporates a decorative layer that can include almost any image, it is available in a huge selection of different styles to mimic the looks of many other styles of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor features a smooth top layer, it can also feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other styles of flooring. Laminate flooring is suited to a wide range of rooms, but be cautious if you intend on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate must be used. When choosing the right laminate for your home, decide on one with a suitable Abrasion Class (AC) rating, as this specificies the amount of traffic the laminate is scored to perform well under.
Laminate flooring is not too difficult to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it is usually time consuming to install a considerable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the correct underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies will be able to advise you on the most appropriate laminate floor for your property, and guarantee that it’s fitted to the best quality.

Ashbourne is a market town within the Derbyshire Dales in England. Because of its proximity to the southern edge of the Peak District and being the closest town to the well-liked area of Dovedale, the town is called both the ‘Gateway to Dovedale’ and the ‘Gateway to the Peak District’. This has meant that tourism has always been crucial to the town’s economy. As reported in the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent population of around 8377 people. It consists of a lot of historical buildings and several independent shops and is famous for its historic yearly Shrovetide football match. The cobbled market hosts a traditional outdoor market every Thursday and Saturday all through the year, complementing the wide range of individual shops within the town. Although its market heritage is very important, Ashbourne’s market was under threat of closure from Derbyshire County Council in November 2012. Residents of Ashbourne have stood against any such moves by the council and began an online petition. Ashbourne became the 97th Fairtrade Town in March 2005 after lots of local enterprises, cafes, shops and community organisations began supporting Fairtrade. Ashbourne has a big quantity of public houses for such a small town centre. At present, you will find ten pubs trading, along with two social clubs. The popular and rare ‘gallows’ sign across St John’s Street remains a focal meeting point in the town. Local historians have noted that almost 1 in 4 buildings inside the town have at one time or another been an alehouse, pub or inn or were redeveloped on the site of such an establishment. For all your property upgrades, be sure that you employ trusted experts in Ashbourne to ensure you get the best quality service.
