Carpets are a hugely popular choice of flooring, particularly in rooms of your home where comfort is valuable, like living spaces and bedrooms. Carpet identifies a variety of flooring in which a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets are available in a large variety of colours and styles to match any design of interior decor, as well as in a number of different types of fibre and piles. Several of the more popular examples of fibre materials include the artificial fibres polypropylene and nylon, and the natural fibres wool, sisal, or jute. These types of carpet are typically available in short or deep pile and can be manufactured using a range of manufacturing methods, such as twist, Saxony, loop pile, Berber, cut and loop, or velvet. Carpets can come in patterned, plain or striped designs. All of these diverse types of carpet are categorised according to their performance and how effectively they stand up to different levels of traffic. They are usually rated to be either medium domestic, meaning bedrooms or studies, heavy domestic, specifying living and dining rooms, and very heavy domestic, suitable for utility rooms or hallways. It is always recommended to fit carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this can improve the look and feel of the carpet, as well as extending its life and delivering better sound and thermal insulation.

Abergele is a community and small sized market town. The meaning of the name Abergele can be appreciated by ‘aber’ being the Welsh word for estuary, and ‘Gele’ the name of the river that goes through the town. Gele is a colloquial form of gelau, which means spear, presumed to be characterising the action of the river traversing the land. It has also been said that this river is named due to the fact that its waters sparkle brightly. The town is situated on the north coast of Wales amongst the holiday resorts of Colwyn Bay and Rhyl, in Conwy County Borough. Its northern suburb of Pensarn is located on the Irish Sea coast and is known for its beach, where it is insisted by some that a ghost ship has been observed. Abergele and Pensarn train stations serve both resorts. The town itself is situated on the A55 road and is known for Gwrych Castle. The town is surrounded by forest covered hillsides, which feature caves with rare lesser horseshoe bats. The highest hill is Moelfre Isaf (1040 feet) to the south of the town. There are additionally exceptional views from Cefn-yr-Ogof, which measures 669 feet, Tower Hill, which is 587 feet, and Castell Cawr (known locally as Tan-y-Gopa) which is 189 metres (620 feet).
