Carpets are an extremely popular preference of flooring, particularly in rooms of your home where comfort is valuable, like living spaces and bedrooms. Carpet identifies a type of flooring where a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets are available in a wide variety of colours and patterns to accommodate any design of interior decor, as well as in a multitude of different types of fibre and piles. A number of the more common examples of fibre materials include the man-made fibres polypropylene and nylon, and the natural fibres wool, sisal, or jute. These kinds of carpet are typically available in short or deep pile and can be produced by utilising a range of production methods, such as twist, Saxony, loop pile, Berber, cut and loop, or velvet. Carpets may come in patterned, plain or striped designs.
All of these various types of carpet are graded according to their performance and how effectively they stand up to different amounts of traffic. They are normally graded to be either medium domestic, meaning bedrooms or studies, heavy domestic, specifying living and dining rooms, and very heavy domestic, suitable for utility rooms or hallways. It is always recommended to fit carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this will improve the appearance of the carpet, as well as increasing its life and providing better sound and thermal insulation.

Market Harborough is a market town within the Harborough district of Leicestershire. It is the administrative head office of Harborough District Council, and has a population of 22911 occupants. In the past at a crossroads for both road and rail, the A6 now circumvents the town to the east, and the A14, which includes east-west traffic, is 6 miles to the south. The town is situated on land that typically constituted Rockingham Forest, a royal hunting forest used by medieval monarchs after William I. There are two towns within the limits of Market Harborough. Great Bowden can be discovered a mile from the town centre, and Little Bowden is under half a mile from the town centre. The three centres have actually mainly blended due to ribbon development and infill. Dominating the town centre is the steeple of St. Dionysius Parish Church, which increases directly from the street as there is no church yard surrounding the building. The Old Grammar School, a somewhat modest lumber building going back to 1614, has come to be a symbol of the town. The town square is mainly pedestrianised and surrounded by multiple buildings, even though the majority of buildings located in the High Street are Georgian structures that continue to be primarily intact. Market Harborough went through considerable improvement in the latter half of the 20th century. This features the establishment of the head office for Golden Wonder crisp manufacturers, and the demolition of the old Symington factory to the building and construction of Eden Court shops and flats. In 1968, the centre of Market Harborough was labelled as a conservation area. In 2007, its popular park, Welland Park, was bestowed Green Flag Award Status, acknowledging excellence and high ecological standards.
