Ceramic tiling is a common flooring option in kitchens or bathrooms. It’s usually installed in these rooms as it is very durable and moisture resistant, particularly if you opt for glazed ceramic tiles which have a moisture proof melted glass protective covering. This protective layer is resilient to stains and dirt, meaning the tiles can merely be wiped clean, making them very simple to care for. Ceramic tile flooring is also comparatively affordable, and comes in a wide range of designs as they can be printed in patterns or to simulate the look of many alternative flooring options such as hardwood or natural stones. Nevertheless, ceramic tiles remain very popular in traditional designs such as terracotta or dark gloss. Ceramic floor tiling is installed directly onto a concrete or backing board subfloor with a layer of mortar as adhesive and lastly grout is added in between the tiles to act as a sealant. Proper preparation of the concrete subfloor is vital when installing ceramic tiles, as any bumps or ridges in the floor can significantly reduce the life of your tiles and cause them to break or bend prematurely. Underlay cannot be used with ceramic floor tiles, which may result in them feeling very cold in winter months, although a popular solution to this is to include rugs to attain a warmer appearance.

Flint is a town in Flintshire, Wales, lying on the estuary of the River Dee. Flint lies in north-east Wales, next to the River Dee, to the north of the town of Mold. Across the River Dee, the Wirral can be seen from Flint and views to the south of the town include Halkyn Mountain. Flint is set less than 12 miles from the English urban area of Liverpool, and closer to its metro area. Nonetheless, because of the 2 bays and rivers between, driving distance is pretty much twice as long. The name relates to the stoney platform on which the castle was built, and was initially documented in 1277 in the French form ‘le Chaylou’. Flint has the oldest town charter in Wales, dating from 1284. It was previously Flintshire’s county town, and is today the third largest town in the county. In accordance with the 2001 Census, the permanent resident population of the area of Flint was 12804, which increased to 12953 at the 2011 Census. About 18 percent of the local population identified themselves as Welsh, although the census had no tick box allowing them to do so. In 2011, Welsh identity was included and 57.1 percent specified that they had Welsh, Welsh and British or other combined identity. A large number of people in Flint have some awareness of the Welsh language, although knowledge does differ. English is the principal spoken language to be heard across the town. One of the town’s most striking images is the group of 3 tower blocks of flats near the town centre, which were built in the 1960s. For all of your home enhancements, make sure to find trustworthy experts in Flint to make certain of quality.
