Renovating floors can entail an array of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing flooring. The type of restoration work will vary among the type of the existing floor. In older homes with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will often entail repair and cleaning of the present floor as it will likely be an important element of the house. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will generally require replacing the carpet.
