Renovating floors may involve a variety of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing flooring. The sort of restoration work will depend upon the sort of the existing flooring. In older houses with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, restoration will often include repair and cleaning of the present floor as it will likely be an important feature of the property. In contemporary properties with carpet or real wood flooring, restoration is more likely to consist of totally replacing the existing floors, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another.
For wooden flooring, the approach of renovation generally consists of sanding the top layer of real wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile flooring can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles exchanged, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will typically require replacing the carpet.
Experienced floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old floors up to a high standard. Specialist tools may also be essential for repairing or replacing flooring.

Peacehaven is a town and civil parish in the Lewes district of East Sussex, England. The town covers a total area of around 2 square miles. It lies above the chalk cliffs of the South Downs about six miles (9.7 kilometres) east of Brighton city centre, on the A259 road. The pebble beach beneath the cliffs can be reached by a stairs and concrete driveway and sea walk. There is a range of green spaces along the A259 and the cliffs, among which is called The Dell. A movie theatre formerly stood on this site, and now it holds occasions such as car boot sales, fireworks, fairgrounds, motorhome exhibitions, the Donkey Derby and an annual carnival, however in 2005 the carnival was held on the Joff field found behind the Meridian shopping centre. In the 1950s, the carnival stalls were found on the then deserted land on the NW corner of the South Coast Road (A259) and Dorothy Avenue. Its site coincides with the point where the Greenwich meridian crosses the English south coast. The Greenwich meridian is marked by a 3.5 m (11 feet) tall obelisk, commissioned by Charles Neville. It was unveiled on 10 August 1936 and has actually been moved two times because of eroding of the cliffs. The parish includes part of the Brighton to Newhaven Cliffs Site of Special Scientific Interest. The cliffs are generally of geological interest, including various Santonian and Campanian fossils. The SSSI listing features flora and animals biological interest too. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a permanent resident population of around 14067 people.
