Renovating floors can involve a variety of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing floors. The kind of restoration work will vary among the form of the existing floor. In older buildings with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, restoration will typically consist of repair and cleaning of the current floor as it will likely be an important feature of the house. In contemporary properties with carpet or hardwood floors, renovation is more likely to require entirely changing the current floors, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another.
For wooden floors, the process of renovation often entails sanding the top layer of wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile flooring can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles swapped, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will typically require replacing the carpet.
Experienced floor renovation companies can advise you of the best method to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old floors up to a high standard. Specialist tools could also be necessary for repairing or replacing flooring.

Salcombe is a popular resort town in the South Hams area of Devon, south west England. The community is close to the mouth of the Kingsbridge Estuary, mainly built on the steep west side of the estuary. It lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The community’s comprehensive waterside and also the normally protected harbour developed by the estuary triggered its success as a boat as well as shipbuilding and cruising port and also, in modern times, tourism particularly in the form of pleasure sailing and yachting. The town is also residence to a conventional shellfish fishing industry. The town belongs to the electoral ward of Salcombe as well as Malborough, for which the 2011 census recorded an overall population of 3,353. Kingsbridge Estuary (really a ria or sank valley) lies in between Screw Head and Sharpitor on the west as well as Portlemouth Down on the eastern, as well as runs inland for some 8.6 kilometres (5.3 mi). The estuary was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in February 1987 as well as is also a Local Nature Reserve.
