Laminate flooring is an exceptionally widely used choice of flooring because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and affordable price. A comparatively new addition to the market, laminate has quickly expanded in popularity as a replacement for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a variety of artificial composite flooring composed of several layers, generally with a fibreboard core covered with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then lastly covered with a wear layer that protects the floor from scrapes and other types of damage.
Because laminate floor contains a decorative layer that may include any kind of image, it is available in a wide array of different looks to mimic the aesthetics of many other styles of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor includes a smooth top coating, it may in addition have embossed or textured effects which mimic other forms of flooring. Laminate flooring is suited to a wide range of rooms, but be careful if you plan on fitting it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate will have to be used. When choosing the perfect laminate for your home, decide on one with a suitable Abrasion Class (AC) ranking, as this designates the amount of traffic the laminate is graded to perform well under.
Laminate flooring is not too difficult to install because of its snap or click together design. However, it is often time consuming to install a substantial amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the exact size, as well as difficult to ensure that the right underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies can advise you on the ideal laminate floor for your home, and ensure that it’s installed to the highest quality.

Abercastle is a village in the Welsh speaking area of Pembrokeshire, Wales. It has a working harbour which Abercastle Boat Owners Association looks after. It is an old trading harbour which exported slate, grain, limestone, butter, honey, corn and coal.
Abercastle harbour was the landing site of Alfred Johnson, the first person to make a single handed Atlantic crossing. He landed at Abercastle in August 1876, sixty days after setting off in Gloucester, Massachusetts. A commemorative plaque made of Welsh slate on the quay wall was opened by Johnson’s grandson in 2003.
Half a mile west of Abercastle sits Carreg Samson, which is a 5000 year old Neolithic Burial Chamber and the site of more than 1000 burials. It has a cap stone 15 feet long and 9 feet wide supported on three upright stones. Locals called it Samson because of a legend that Samson put it in position with his little finger.
The wreck of the Leysian lies on the west side of the harbour, about 50m from the cliffs. It is popular with divers who say that lots of fish live in there. It’s also thought that a small shark visits the wreckage.
