Carpets

Carpets are an extremely popular choice of flooring, in particular in areas of the house where comfort is important, like living spaces and bedrooms. Carpet identifies a type of flooring where a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets can be purchased in a huge array of colours and styles to accommodate any style of interior decoration, as well as in many different types of fibre and piles. Several of the more popular types of fibre materials include the artificial fibres polypropylene and nylon, and the natural fibres wool, sisal, or jute. Carpets can come in patterned, plain or striped designs. It is always recommended to install carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this will increase the appearance of the carpet, as well as increasing its life and providing better sound and thermal insulation.
