Carpets

Carpets are an extremely popular preference of flooring, especially in rooms of your house where comfort is valuable, like living rooms and bedrooms. Carpet identifies a kind of flooring where a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets come in a large range of colours and patterns to suit any design of interior decor, as well as in a wide variety of different kinds of fibre and piles. Carpets can come in patterned, plain or striped designs. All of these different kinds of carpet are scored according to their performance and how successfully they are suited to different levels of traffic. They are usually rated to be either medium domestic, meaning bedrooms or studies, heavy domestic, specifying living and dining rooms, and very heavy domestic, suitable for utility rooms or hallways. It is always recommended to install carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this will enhance the appearance of the carpet, as well as increasing its life and delivering better sound and thermal insulation.
