While tiling is more generally used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very attractive flooring option. Relatively cheap, floor tiling comes in a wide variety of designs and styles and is suitable for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is usually applied to bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and highly long lasting, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles tend to be made from ceramic or porcelain, but they are available in many other options of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability. When installing floor tiling, it is essential to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also often needs an extra backing board to be laid on top of the existing floor to be able to guarantee a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this extra board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to stick the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. Laying tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be extremely expensive to correct or even damage your floor, so choose a specialist to lay your floor tiling. Professional tiling companies can inform you on the ideal tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a superior standard.

Bedlington is a town situated in South East Northumberland, England. A former mining town, it is about 20 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne and 4.5 miles southeast of the county town of Morpeth, in addition to being near to places including Ashington, Blyth and Cramlington. The town is recognised most famously for giving its name to the Bedlington Terrier, a variety of dog. According to the 2011 Census, the town boasts a population of roughly 18,470. Since the closure of the iron works as well as the coal mines, it is chiefly a dormitory town for those employed in the nearby towns and cities. Bedlington Old Hall, a 15th-century structure that is generally claimed to be the most important historic building in Bedlington, was torn down in 1959 to be replaced with council offices. Nevertheless, many sites of historic significance and local interest continue to exist . A significant historic building still standing is the Anglican parish church of St. Cuthbert. It is claimed that this dedication has been taken from an event occurring in 1069. While escaping northwards from William the Conqueror’s army, it is said that the monks of Durham laid the body of St. Cuthbert in the town’s church. Hartford Hall is also situated within the parish, and a big amount of the riverside land between Bedlington and the Hall creates Bedlington County Park, which is a local nature reserve. Residents continue to shop at a weekly market that comes to the town on Thursdays, which is held at the market place. For all your house upgrades, make certain that you use reputable specialists in Bedlington to ensure you get the very best quality service.
