Although tiling is more commonly used to protect bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very desirable flooring option. Relatively low cost, floor tiling comes in numerous designs and styles and is suitable for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is usually suited for bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and extremely strong, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are normally made from ceramic or porcelain, however they are available in many other choices of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is critical to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also typically requires an extra backing board to be laid on top of the current floor so as to ensure a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to adhere the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. Fitting tiles yourself can be a difficult job which could require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be very costly to correct or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a specialist to lay your floor tiling. Specialist tiling companies can suggest for you the perfect tile to use for your room, and guarantee the fitting is of a superior standard.

Clackmannan is a town and civil parish set in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. Positioned within the Forth Valley, Clackmannan is 1.8 miles (2.9 kilometres) south-east of Alloa and also 3.2 miles (5.1 kilometres) south of Tillicoultry. The town is within the county of Clackmannanshire, of which it was formerly the county town, until Alloa surpassed it in dimension and also value. According to a 2009 quote the population of the settlement of Clackmannan is 3,348 citizens. The name of the community refers to the Stone of Manau or Stone of Mannan, a pre-Christian monolith that can be seen in the town square close to the Tolbooth or Tollbooth Tower, which dates from 1592. During the 12th century, the location developed part of the lands controlled by the abbots of Cambuskenneth. Later on it became associated with the Bruce household, who, during the 14th century, built a calculated tower-house. It still stands above the community according to Historic Scotland, however access is forbidden (due to subsidence). A crater on asteroid 253 Mathilde is named after Clackmannan. Because Mathilde is a dark, carbonaceous body, its craters have actually been named after well-known coalfields from across the world. The Clackmannan Team is the name provided to a suite of rocks of late Dinantian and also Namurian age laid down during the Carboniferous duration in the Midland Valley of Scotland. The war memorial was made by Sir Robert Lorimer in 1919.
