Although tiling is more regularly used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very appealing flooring option. Relatively affordable, floor tiling is available in a wide variety of designs and styles and is appropriate for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is generally used on bathroom or kitchen floors as it is easy to clean and exceptionally hard-wearing, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are generally made from ceramic or porcelain, however they are available in many other options of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is very important to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also typically requires an additional backing board to be laid on top of the pre-existing floor to be able to ensure a flat finish and to protect the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to adhere the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. The installation of tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be extremely expensive to rectify or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a professional to lay your floor tiling. Experienced tiling companies can inform you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a high standard.

Etchingham was a mansion a long period of time prior to the Norman conquest of 1066; after this time the mansion was taken over by the Normans. In 1166 it was left to the de Achyngham (Etchingham) family members, that were widely known landowners of the time. The Etchingham family members documents record that William was so pleased with his right-hand man that he gave him the land currently known as Etchingham. The moated manor house, long since destroyed, stood at the point now inhabited by the London to Hastings railway line. Some of the rock from the mansion was most likely utilized in the building of the station structures. There is one legend that a great bell lay at the bottom of the moat bordering the church and also estate, which it would certainly never ever be seen up until six yoke of white oxen were offered drag it up. Centuries have passed by, the moat is long gone as well as no bell has actually surfaced. The 14th-century church was originally developed within the premises of the chateau; evidence of the moat can still be seen.
