Renovating floors may require a variety of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing floors. The kind of renovation work will vary among the type of the current flooring. In older houses with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, restoration will probably entail repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be a desirable feature of the house. In contemporary houses with carpet or real wood floors, renovation is more likely to consist of totally replacing the current flooring, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden flooring, the process of renovation often entails sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile flooring can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles swapped, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will typically require replacing the carpet. Experienced floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best method to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old floors up to a high standard. Specialist tools might also be required for repairing or replacing flooring.

Chard is a town and a civil parish in the English county of Somerset. It lies on the A30 road close to the Devon border, 15 miles (24 km) south west of Yeovil. The parish has a population of about 13000 and, at an elevation of 121 metres (397 ft), Chard is the southernmost and highest town in Somerset. Administratively Chard makes up a part of the district of South Somerset. The name of the town was Cerden in 1065 and Cerdre in the Domesday Book of 1086. Following the Norman Conquest, Chard was held by the Bishop of Wells. The town’s first charter was from King John in 1234. Chard is most famously called the birthplace of powered flight, as in 1848, John Stringfellow first revealed that engine-powered flight was possible. Percy and Ernist Petter, who formed Westland Aircraft Works, witnessed a number of Stringfellow’s demonstrations in Chard and frequently asked for support in the formation of Westland’s first aircraft development factory on the outskirts of Yeovil. Agusta Westland now holds the Henson and Stringfellow lecture yearly for the RAeS. Chard Reservoir, around a mile north east of the town, is a Local Nature Reserve, and Snowdon Hill Quarry a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest. Major employers in the town consist of Numatic International Limited as well as the Oscar Mayer food processing plant. There are a range of sporting and cultural facilities, with secondary education being delivered at Holyrood Academy. Religious sites include the Church of St Mary the Virgin which dates from the late 1200’s. For all of your property upgrades, make certain that you use trustworthy professionals in Chard to make sure you get the top quality.
