Laminate flooring is an exceptionally popular choice of flooring because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A relatively new addition to the market, laminate has rapidly increased in popularity as an alternative for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a variety of artificial composite flooring composed of several layers, usually with a fibreboard core topped with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally protected with a wear layer that helps to protect the floor from scrapes and other forms of damage. Because laminate floor includes a decorative layer that may include almost any image, it is available in a huge array of different styles to mimic the looks of many other styles of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor features a smooth top coating, it can also feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other forms of flooring. Laminate flooring is suited to a number of rooms, but be careful if you intend on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate will have to be used. When choosing the perfect laminate for your home, choose one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) ranking, as this specificies the amount of traffic the laminate is rated to perform well under. Laminate flooring is not too difficult to install because of its snap or click together design. However, it can be time consuming to install a considerable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the appropriate underlay and damp proofing is fitted to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies can give you advice on the best laminate floor for your space, and ensure that it is fitted to the best quality.

Before the Victorian era Bembridge was a collection of wood huts and farmhouses, which just combined right into a true town with the building of the church in 1827 (later rebuilt in 1846).
