Laminate flooring is an extremely widely used selection of flooring due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A comparatively recent addition to the market, laminate has quickly increased in popularity as a replacement for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a variety of artificial composite flooring consisting of several layers, often with a fibreboard core topped with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally covered with a wear layer that protects the floor from scrapes and other types of damage.
Because laminate floor features a decorative layer that may include any sort of image, it comes in a wide range of different styles to mimic the aesthetics of many other flooring materials like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor includes a smooth top coating, it may in addition feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other forms of flooring. Laminate flooring is suitable for a number of rooms, but be careful if you intend on fitting it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate should be used. When choosing the perfect laminate for your house, choose one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) ranking, as this designates the amount of traffic the laminate is graded to perform well under.
Laminate flooring is not too difficult to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it is usually time consuming to install a sizable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the right underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies will be able to give you advice on the ideal laminate floor for your property, and ensure that it’s installed to the highest quality.

Fort William is a settlement in the Highlands of Scotland. Initially founded on the still-extant village of Inverlochy, the town lies at the southern edge of the Great Glen, Fort William sits in close proximity to the head of Loch Linnhe, one of Scotland’s longest sea lochs, alongside the mouth of the rivers Nevis and Lochy. It is close to Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles, Glen Nevis and the town of Achnaphubuil is on the opposite bank of the loch. When the train line opened to Fort William on 7 August 1894, the station was offered prime position at the south end of the town. The result was that the town was detached from the lochside by train tracks before the 1970s when the present-day by-pass was constructed, and the station was re-located to the north end. In accordance with the 2001 Census, it has a permanent resident population of about 9908. This makes Fort William the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger. Within this population, around 726 people, forming 7.33 percent of the population, can speak Gaelic. Fort William is a major tourism centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. It is a hub for hillwalking and climbing a result of its proximity to Ben Nevis and a number of other Munro mountains. It is additionally known for its surrounding downhill mtb track. It is the start and end of both the West Highland Way (Milngavie-Fort William) and the Great Glen Way (a walk/cycle way Fort William-Inverness).
