Carpets are a hugely popular selection of flooring, particularly in rooms of the home where comfort is essential, like living rooms and bedrooms. Carpet designates a type of flooring in which a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets are available in a huge range of colours and designs to match any type of interior decoration, as well as in numerous different kinds of fibre and piles. A few of the more popular types of fibre materials include the artificial fibres polypropylene and nylon, and the natural fibres wool, sisal, or jute. These kinds of carpet are commonly available in short or deep pile and can be produced by employing a range of production methods, such as twist, Saxony, loop pile, Berber, cut and loop, or velvet. Carpets may come in patterned, plain or striped designs. All of the diverse kinds of carpet are rated according to their performance and how successfully they are suited to different levels of traffic. They are normally rated to be either medium domestic, meaning bedrooms or studies, heavy domestic, specifying living and dining rooms, and very heavy domestic, suitable for utility rooms or hallways. It is always recommended to install carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this can improve the appearance of the carpet, as well as increasing its life and delivering better sound and thermal insulation.

The town of Banbridge is in Northern Ireland’s County Down. It’s positioned on the River Bann and a dual carriageway, with its name coming from a bridge that was built to cross the River Bann in 1712. It’s a part of the civil parish of Seapatrick and the historic barony of Iveagh Upper, Upper Half. Banbridge is at the moment the administrative centre for the Banbridge District Council. As per the 2011 Census, the town has a resident population of around 16653. It is categorised as a medium town and of the population, 24.4 percent were under 16 years old, 16.1% were over 60 years of age, and 49.5 percent were male, leaving 50.5% as female. The town emerged as a coach stop on the road between Belfast and Dublin, and it prospered from the production process of Irish linen. A striking aspect of the town is its distinctive main street, which rises to a steep hill before levelling out. An underpass had to be constructed in 1834 because of the steep street causing horses carrying heavy loads to faint before they got to the top . Built by William Dargan, it’s officially named the Downshire Bridge, while it’s frequently known as ‘The Cut’. The town is widely identified for being near to the Bronte Homeland in Rathfriland, attracting a lot of tourists for this reason. One more attraction is the annual busking festival, ‘Buskfest’, which has been running since 2004. Participants have typically travelled lengthy distances to perform, and the competition ends with an evening concert consisting of performances by recognised artists.
