Carpets are a very popular selection of flooring, especially in areas of the house where comfort is valuable, like living spaces and bedrooms. Carpet identifies a kind of flooring in which a material is either woven or tufted to a backing cloth. Carpets come in a wide array of colours and patterns to complement any type of interior decor, as well as in a wide variety of different kinds of fibre and piles. A number of the more common examples of fibre materials include the synthetic fibres polypropylene and nylon, and the natural fibres wool, sisal, or jute. These kinds of carpet are frequently available in short or deep pile and can be produced by using a range of manufacturing methods, such as twist, Saxony, loop pile, Berber, cut and loop, or velvet. Carpets may appear in patterned, plain or striped designs. All of the diverse kinds of carpet are rated according to their performance and how successfully they are suited to different amounts of traffic. They are normally rated to be either medium domestic, meaning bedrooms or studies, heavy domestic, specifying living and dining rooms, and very heavy domestic, suitable for utility rooms or hallways. It is always recommended to fit carpet with a layer of underlay underneath, as this can improve the appearance of the carpet, as well as increasing its life and delivering better sound and thermal insulation.

Fortrose is a town and previous royal burgh in Highland, Scotland, United Kingdom. It is on the Moray Firth, about 6 miles (10 km) north-east of Inverness. The town is understood for its wrecked 13th century cathedral, and as the house of the Brahan Seer. In The Center Ages it was the seat of the bishopric of Ross, and also formerly called Chanonry, for being the Chanory of Ross. The cathedral was mainly knocked down in the mid-seventeenth century by Oliver Cromwell to offer structure products for a citadel at Inverness. The risen south aisle, with bell-tower, and also a separated chapter house (used as the tollbooth of Fortrose after the Reformation) continue to be. These fragments, though small in scale, show significant architectural improvement, and also are in the treatment of Historic Scotland (no entry cost). The burgh is a preferred area for attempting to identify bottlenose dolphins (see Chanonry Point) in the Moray Firth. Fortrose shares a golf course with Rosemarkie. Set on the Chanonry Ness the course extends into the Moray Firth and also uses great views of Ft George. The program is well known for its trademark 4th Hole “Lighthouse”. The lighthouse in question is the Chanonry Factor lighthouse which was made by Alan Stevenson and also was first lit 15 Might 1846. Public structures in Fortrose include a leisure centre, collection and the only senior high school on the Black Isle, Fortrose Academy. The proper pronunciation of the community’s name according to local use is with the tension on the very first syllable.
