Ceramic tiling is a popular flooring option in kitchens or bathrooms. It’s frequently installed in these rooms as it’s very durable and moisture resistant, particularly if you opt for glazed ceramic tiles which include a moisture proof melted glass protective coating. This protective covering is resistant to stains and dirt, meaning the tiles can merely be wiped clean, making them particularly easy to maintain. Ceramic tile flooring is also reasonably cheap, and is available in a wide range of designs as they can be printed in patterns or to imitate the appearance of many other flooring options such as wood or natural stones. However, ceramic tiles remain very popular in traditional designs such as terracotta or dark gloss.
Ceramic floor tiling is installed directly onto a concrete or backing board subfloor with a layer of mortar as adhesive and finally grout is added in between the tiles to act as a sealant. Adequate preparation of the concrete subfloor is critical when putting in ceramic tiles, as any bumps or ridges in the floor can considerably reduce the life of your tiles and cause them to break or bend prematurely. Underlay cannot be used in combination with ceramic floor tiles, which can lead to them feeling very cold in winter months, although a popular solution for this is to add rugs to achieve a warmer impression.

Manningtree is a town as well as civil parish in the Tendring area of Essex, England, which rests on the River Stour. It joins built-up areas of Lawford to the west and Mistley to the eastern as well as the three churches together are in some cases referred to as “Manningtree”. Manningtree is a claimant for the title of tiniest community in England. Manningtree has typically claimed to be the tiniest community in England, and also in 2007 mayor Lee Lay-Flurrie said that this had been confirmed to her by the Census Customer Services, with 700 individuals in 20 hectares (using the high tide mark). Nonetheless both this number and the 2011 census population for the civil church of 900 is a lot greater than the 351 population of Fordwich in Kent. In April 2009 it was suggested that Manningtree must combine with Mistley and Lawford to develop a solitary parish, losing its separate identification as a town. Since 2018 such a merging has not happened as well as the community council presently declares to be the smallest by location. Manningtree becomes part of the electoral ward called Manningtree, Mistley, Litte Bentley and Tendring. The population of this ward at the 2011 census was 4,603.
