Although tiling is more regularly used to protect bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very desirable flooring option. Relatively affordable, floor tiling comes in a wide variety of designs and styles and is well suited for use in many areas of your home. Floor tiling is generally used on bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and exceptionally sturdy, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are normally produced from ceramic or porcelain, however they are available in many other options of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is critical to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also often requires an extra backing board to be laid on top of the existing floor so as to guarantee a flat finish and to preserve the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to adhere the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. Laying tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any errors can be extremely expensive to correct or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a specialist to install your floor tiling. Professional tiling companies can advise you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a superior standard.

Abberley is a little village in North West Worcestershire, England. It is situated between the River Severn and River Teme. It had a population of 830 in 2001.
There are three sides to the village of Abberley. The oldest section, The Village, was formed in the 12th and 13th century. The Common is the most populated part of the village and has a village shop and post office. There is also the primary school and village hall in this part. The Hill is mostly farmland, with some houses and cottages residing on the steep slopes of Abberley Hill.
Abberley Hall is on the other side of Abberley Hill. It was previously a country house until 1916 when preparatory school Abberley Hall School moved its premises there.
There are two churches in Abberley. The oldest is the ruined St. Michael’s Church, although the chancel was restored and is still used for occassional services. St. Mary’s Church was erected between 1850 and 1852 to take over from St. Michael’s to the north of the village.
