Laminate flooring is an extremely widely used selection of flooring because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A comparatively recent addition to the market, laminate has rapidly expanded in popularity as a replacement for real wood or stone floors. Laminate flooring is a variety of man-made composite flooring consisting of several layers, usually with a fibreboard core covered with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then lastly protected with a wear layer that protects the floor from scrapes and other types of damage. Because laminate floor incorporates a decorative layer that can incorporate any sort of image, it is available in a huge array of different styles to mimic the looks of many other types of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor features a smooth top layer, it can also include embossed or textured effects which mimic other forms of flooring. Laminate flooring is suited to a wide range of rooms, but be cautious if you intend on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate must be used. When choosing the best laminate for your house, decide on one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) ranking, as this designates the amount of traffic the laminate is scored to perform well under. Laminate flooring is relatively easy to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it is usually time consuming to install a considerable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the correct underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies will be able to inform you on the ideal laminate floor for your space, and guarantee that it’s fitted to the highest quality.
