Ceramic tiling is a common flooring option in kitchens or bathrooms. It’s commonly installed in these rooms as it is extremely durable and moisture resistant, particularly if you choose glazed ceramic tiles which feature a moisture proof melted glass protective covering. This protective covering is resilient to stains and dirt, meaning the tiles can merely be wiped clean, making them very easy to care for. Ceramic tile flooring is also reasonably affordable, and is available in a wide variety of designs as they can be printed in patterns or to mimic the appearance of many alternative flooring options such as hardwood or natural stones. However, ceramic tiles remain very popular in traditional designs such as terracotta or dark gloss.
Ceramic floor tiling is installed directly onto a concrete or backing board subfloor with a layer of mortar as adhesive and finally grout is added in between the tiles to act as a sealant. Sufficient preparation of the concrete subfloor is essential when putting in ceramic tiles, as any bumps or ridges in the ground can considerably reduce the lifespan of your tiles and cause them to break or bend prematurely. Underlay cannot be used in combination with ceramic floor tiles, which can result in them feeling cool in the winter, although a favorite remedy for this is to add rugs to accomplish a warmer impression.

Abberley is a little village in North West Worcestershire, England. It is situated in between the River Severn and River Teme. It had a population of 830 in 2001.
There are three sides to the village of Abberley. The oldest section, The Village, has been around since the 12th and 13th century. The Common is the most populated part of the village and has a village shop and post office. There is also the primary school and village hall in this part. The Hill is mainly farmland, with a small amount of houses and cottages standing on the steep slopes of Abberley Hill.
Abberley Hall is on the opposite side of Abberley Hill. It was formerly a country house until 1916 when preparatory school Abberley Hall School moved its premises there.
There are two churches in Abberley. The oldest is the run-down St. Michael’s Church, but the chancel was restored and is still used for occassional services. St. Mary’s Church was erected between 1850 and 1852 to succeed St. Michael’s to the north of the parish.
