While tiling is more commonly used to protect bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very beautiful flooring option. Relatively low cost, floor tiling is available in numerous designs and styles and is ideal for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is most often used on bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and extremely strong, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are usually made from ceramic or porcelain, but they can be purchased in many other choices of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is crucial to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also typically requires an extra backing board to be laid on top of the existing floor to be able to guarantee a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to stick the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. The installation of tiles yourself can be a difficult job which might require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be very expensive to correct or even cause damage to your floor, so choose an expert to fit your floor tiling. Specialist tiling companies can suggest for you the perfect tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a high standard.

Aberdare is a large town in the Cynon Valley district of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. The number of inhabitants was 31,705 at the 2001 census, which makes Aberdare the 13th largest town in Wales. It is 20 miles north-west of Cardiff and 22 miles north-east of Swansea.
Aberdare evolved into an active industrial town in the 19th century, when it became a centre of iron and tin production. Later there were many coal mines in the town which expanded its population as people moved there to work. Now that the coal mines have shut, the landscape has remnants of its past but nature has renewed it to its former beauty.
The town dates back far into history, with ancient burial sites and standing stones still visible today. There is a lot of Victorian architecture still standing in Aberdare that links with its interesting past.
Aberdare is a active town with many shops and restaurants. It is just a 40 minute train journey from Cardiff, so it’s easy to enjoy the countryside around Aberdale and then hop on the train to take advantage of what the city has to offer.
If your home in Aberdale requires a new boiler, it’s important that you look at quotes from a minimum of three trustworthy installers.
