While tiling is more regularly used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very desirable flooring option. Relatively affordable, floor tiling comes in a multitude of designs and styles and is ideal for use in many parts of your home. Floor tiling is generally applied to bathroom or kitchen floors as it is easy to clean and exceptionally sturdy, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are usually produced from ceramic or porcelain, but they are available in many other options of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is critical to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also usually needs an additional backing board to be laid on top of the existing floor so as to guarantee a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to stick the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. The installation of tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any errors can be very costly to rectify or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a specialist to lay your floor tiling. Experienced tiling companies can suggest for you the ideal tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of an exceptional standard.

Bargoed is a town in the Rhymney Valley, one of the South Wales Valleys. It’s located along the Rhymney River inside the county borough of Caerphilly, and it lies on the ancient boundary of Glamorgan and Monmouthshire, with Bargoed originally lying within the old county of Glamorganshire whereas Aberbargoed was within the old county of Monmouthshire. It’s unsurprising, because of this, that the English meaning of the town’s name is ‘border’. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town features a permanent population of around 11900. Historically a market town, Bargoed developed into a successful town soon after the establishment of a colliery in 1903. By 1921, Bargoed had a resident population of approximately 17,901; this has been steadily declining ever since then, as the general demand for Welsh coal fell. The colliery, which was the object of a painting by L. S. Lowry, shut down during the 1980s, and its site has been turned into a country park. The town has lately been undergoing a major redevelopment scheme, which included a bypass running through the valley with links to the town centre. The renovation of the Grade II* listed Hanbury Street Baptist chapel into a public library is one of the most striking features of the redevelopment, which contains a council services helpdesk, a computer suite, a coffee lounge, as well as a scaled-down chapel. The pipe organ is still positioned in its original dominant position overlooking the main ground floor area, whilst the Erstwhile chapel gallery boasts a large collection of reference and other books. For all of your home improvements, be sure that you employ trusted pros in Bargoed to ensure you get the top quality service.
