Although tiling is more generally used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very attractive flooring option. Relatively cheap, floor tiling comes in a multitude of designs and styles and is appropriate for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is frequently used on bathroom or kitchen floors as it is easy to clean and very resilient, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are normally made from ceramic or porcelain, however they are available in many other choices of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is crucial to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also often needs an extra backing board to be laid on top of the present floor in order to guarantee a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to stick the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. Laying tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be very expensive to correct or even damage your floor, so choose an expert to lay your floor tiling. Professional tiling companies can inform you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and guarantee the fitting is of a superior standard.

Maesteg is a town and community in the ceremonial county of Mid Gamorgan and in Bridgend County Borough, Wales. It lies at the north end of the Llynfi Valley, next to the border with Neath Port Talbot. Much like the rest of Wales, the English and Welsh languages constitute the town’s official languages. Whilst a significant proportion of occupants are native English speakers, there is a modest area of the community that speak Welsh. Of the 20612 residents recorded in the 2011 Census, 11 percent of the town’s population speak Welsh. There are major differences between age groups, with 27.9 percent of 3 to 15 year olds speaking Welsh, 8.6 per cent of 16 to 64 year olds, and the smallest proportion being amongst the over 65s at 5.3 per cent. The opening of ironworks in the 1820s and 1830s stimulated the expansion of the town. Between 1890 and 1925, Maesteg held an international track record as a producer of Admiralty-grade steam coal, high quality cooking coal and the leading house coal in South Wales. By the early 1920s, 7000 miners operated in the town. With the decline of the coal market and the closure of the last pit in 1985, the town is now characterised as being more residential and domestic in nature, mostly for the Port Talbot, Bridgend and Cardiff journey to work areas. Set up in 1881, Maesteg Market continues to be a well-attended market, which is set on the ground floor of Maesteg Town Hall and a large range of items are offered. The town is additionally recognised for its strong music and singing custom, being home to numerous choirs and bands. For all your house upgrades, make sure to make use of trusted professionals in Maesteg to make certain of quality.
