Although tiling is more regularly used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very appealing flooring option. Relatively affordable, floor tiling is available in a multitude of designs and styles and is suitable for use in many rooms of your home. Floor tiling is usually applied to bathroom or kitchen floors as it is easy to clean and very durable, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles tend to be made from ceramic or porcelain, but they can be purchased in many other choices of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is vital to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also typically requires an additional backing board to be laid on top of the current floor so as to ensure a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this extra board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to adhere the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. The installation of tiles yourself can be a difficult job which could require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be very expensive to rectify or even damage your floor, so choose a specialist to install your floor tiling. Experienced tiling companies can advise you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a high standard.

Beauly is a town in the Kilmorack Parish of the Scottish Region of Inverness, on the River Beauly, 10 miles (16 km) west of Inverness by the Far North railway line. The town is currently within the Highland council area. The land around Beauly is abundant – traditionally corn was grown thoroughly as well as more just recently fruit has successfully been farmed. The town traditionally sold coal, lumber, lime, grain as well as fish. In January 2010, the Scottish government authorized questionable plans for a high-voltage line upgrade that will begin in Beauly as well as end in Denny, Falkirk. The brand-new high-voltage line, part of a plan to bring power created by wind farms on the Western Isles, was called “the most considerable grid infrastructure task in a generation” by Jim Mather MSP. The 220-kilometre (140 mi) line will contain a network of 600 pylons, varying in elevation from 42 to 65 metres (138 to 213 ft). The very first part of the transmission circuit (Beauly to Fort Augustus) was turned on in July 2013. The population of Beauly was 1,126 in 1991, 1,283 in 2001 and also 1,365 in 2011.
