Abertillery, which translates as ‘mouth of the River Tyleri’, is the biggest town of the Ebbw Fach valley in what used to be the historic county of Monmouthshire, South Wales. After regional government reorganisation it entered into the Blaenau Gwent County Borough administrative region.
