Renovating floors could require a wide range of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing floors. The type of restoration work will depend upon the form of the existing flooring. In older homes with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will typically require repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be a desirable feature of the home. In newer houses with carpet or hardwood flooring, renovation is more likely to require entirely exchanging the current floors, either like for like utilising a similar material, or by changing from one material to another.
For wooden floors, the approach of restoration commonly entails sanding the top layer of real wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles swapped, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further problems or damage will generally require replacing the carpet.
Experienced floor renovation companies can advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools could also be necessary for repairing or replacing flooring.

Barra is an island in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, and the second southernmost inhabited island there, after the adjacent island of Vatersay to which it is linked by a short embankment. The island is named for Saint Finbarr of Cork. In 2011, the population was 1,174. Gaelic is commonly talked, and at the 2011 Census, there were 761 Gaelic speakers (62% of the population). The Isle of Barra is approximately 60 km2 (23 sq mi) in area, 11 miles (18 km) lengthy and 6 miles (10 kilometres) large. A single-track road, the A888, runs around the coastline of the southern part of the island complying with the flattest land and serving the many coastal settlements. The interior of the island here is hilly as well as uninhabited. The west as well as north of the island has white sandy coastlines including sand developed from marine shells adjoining the grassed machair, while the south east side has countless rough inlets. To the north a sandy pensinsula goes to the coastline airport terminal as well as Eoligarry.
