Laminate flooring is a very common choice of flooring due to its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A comparatively recent addition to the market, laminate has rapidly increased in popularity as an alternative for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a variety of man-made composite flooring composed of several layers, usually with a fibreboard core covered with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then lastly covered with a wear layer that protects the floor from scrapes and other types of damage. Because laminate floor incorporates a decorative layer that can include any kind of image, it is available in a wide variety of different styles to mimic the appearance of many other styles of flooring like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor features a smooth top layer, it can also have embossed or textured effects which mimic other styles of flooring. Laminate flooring is suitable for a wide range of rooms, but be cautious if you plan on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate should be used. When choosing the perfect laminate for your home, choose one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) ranking, as this specificies the amount of traffic the laminate is scored to perform well under. Laminate flooring is relatively simple to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it can be time consuming to install a considerable amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the precise size, as well as difficult to ensure that the appropriate underlay and damp proofing is installed to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies will be able to help you on the most suitable laminate floor for your home, and guarantee that it’s installed to the best quality.

Aberdour is an old village on the south coast of Fife, Scotland. It is sometimes called the Jewel of Fife because of its beautiful scenery. It had a population of 1633 in the 2001 census. It sits between the bigger towns of Burntisland and Dalgety Bay. The village’s name comes from the Pictish, which indicates that Aberdour has been around since the Dark Ages. Until the 19th century when the railway was built, Aberdour was actually split in two villages. The railway has won various ‘best kept station’ awards, and the ticket inspectors were known for singing down the carriages. It is a half an hour train drive to Edinburgh from Aberdour, which increased its reputation with commuters. In the middle of the village sits Aberdour Castle. It was a little hall house overlooking the Dour Burn in the 13th century. The oldest part of it that remains is one of the earliest surviving stone castles in mainland Scotland. Close to the castle is St Fillan’s church which is one of the best-preserved medieval parish churches in Scotland. If you need a replacement boiler for your property in Aberdour, it’s best to look at a range of quotations from reliable engineers.
