Renovating floors can entail a wide range of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing floors. The kind of restoration work will vary among the kind of the pre-existing floor. In older homes with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, restoration will usually consist of repair and cleaning of the current floor as it will likely be an attractive feature of the home. In modern properties with carpet or real wood flooring, restoration is more likely to require entirely exchanging the existing flooring, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden floors, the approach of renovation commonly entails sanding the top layer of real wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles exchanged, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will typically require replacing the carpet. Experienced floor renovation companies can advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools might also be essential for repairing or replacing flooring.

Buckhurst Hill is an affluent suburban town in Essex in England. Adjacent to Greater London’s northern border, it forms a part of the Greater London Urban Area. It’s at the western edge of Essex, around 10 miles (17 km) northeast of Charing Cross and close to the boundary with the London Borough of Redbridge. Parts of Epping Forest are in Buckhurst Hill mixed with residential areas. The nearest places are Chigwell, Chingford, Loughton and Woodford. As per the 2011 Census, the town has a population of roughly 11,400 residents. The first record of Buckhurst Hill is in 1135, when reference was made to ‘La Bocherste’, becoming in later years ‘Bucket Hill’, traditionally meaning a hill covered with beech trees. It sat in Epping Forest and included just a handful of scattered homes along the old road from Woodford to Loughton. Prior to the construction of the railways, Buckhurst Hill was on the stage coach route between London and Cambridge, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Dunmow. Originally it was a part of the parish of Chigwell; there was no road connecting the two communities and in order to get to church, parishioners had to cross the River Roding at Woodford. The opening of Buckhurst Hill Station in 1856 saw a quick expansion in the population of the area, with approximately six hundred new homes having been built close to the station by 1871. The town also hosts the Buckhurst Hill Football Club and Buckhurst Hill Cricket Club.
