Renovating floors could involve an array of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even completely removing and replacing floors. The type of restoration work will vary among the variety of the existing flooring. In older houses with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will typically include repair and cleaning of the current floor as it will likely be an important element of the house. In newer properties with carpet or real wood floors, restoration is more likely to require totally replacing the current floors, either like for like utilising a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden floors, the procedure of renovation commonly consists of sanding the top layer of real wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles replaced, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will usually require replacing the carpet. Specialised floor renovation companies can advise you of the best method to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools could also be required for repairing or replacing flooring.

Maldon is a town on the Blackwater Estuary in the English county of Essex. It makes up the seat of the Maldon District and the beginning of the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of around 14220. Evidence indicates that East Saxons made their very first settlement in the area throughout the 5th century and it soon became a key Saxon port with a hythe or quayside and artisan quarters. Historical evidence has pointed to the success of the port, uncovering objects such as imported pottery, and it is assumed that from 958, there was the establishment of a royal mint issuing coins for the late Anglo-Saxon and early Norman kings. It was among the first two towns in Essex, with the 2nd being Colchester. In accordance with the Domesday Book of 1086, there were 54 households and 180 townsmen. The town is most well-known for Maldon Sea Salt, which has been produced by the Maldon Crystal Salt Company ever since 1882. Throughout the course of the year, the town hosts a broad variety of events and activities. Of particular note is the yearly ‘Taxi Day’, which entails children with special educational needs from London being driven to Maldon in London Black Cabs in order to take part in a fun-filled day of activities followed by a meal. The gathering was set up in 1952 when a London taxi driver visited the Elizabeth Fry Special School in Plaistow and wished to do something memorable for the children there. The town also hosts the Maldon mud race, which consists of racing across the Blackwater Estuary at low tide, in order to raise money for various charities. For all of your house upgrades, make sure to make use of trustworthy professionals in Maldon to make certain of quality.
