Renovating floors could involve an array of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing flooring. The sort of renovation work will depend upon the variety of the current flooring. In older houses with period floors such as flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation will generally involve repair and cleaning of the present floor as it will likely be an appealing element of the property. In newer properties with carpet or hardwood flooring, renovation is more likely to consist of completely changing the existing floors, either like for like using a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden flooring, the process of restoration usually consists of sanding the top layer of wood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile floors can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles replaced, followed by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will usually require replacing the carpet. Experienced floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired floors or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools are often required for repairing or replacing flooring.

Harwich is a town in the English county of Essex. Located on the coast in the Tendring district, it is near Felixstowe, Ipswich, Colchester and Clacton on Sea, and it is the most northern seaside town within Essex. Because of its position on the estuaries of the River Stour and River Orwell, alongside its benefit to sailors as being the only safe anchorage in between the Thames and the Humber, the town had considerable civil and military maritime significance for a number of years. In 1657, the town came to be a marine base and was highly fortified with the building and construction of the Harwich Redoubt, Beacon Hill Battery, and Bath Side Battery. In accordance with the 2011 Census, the town has a population of around 17684. Though it is a town of a reasonably modest size, Harwich has a high status for its architectural legacy. The town continues to be structured using the conventional street plan containing principal thoroughfares linked by a range of small alleys, which indicates the town’s medieval origins. Most of the existing medieval structures are private homes, although there is a selection of public buildings of a historic nature. This features the parish church of St. Nicholas, constructed in 1821 in a Gothic style, which contains much of the original home furnishings and an organ. Only one structure is Grade I listed, which is the Guildhall of 1769. A striking structure is the Pier Hotel of 1860, renamed the Great Eastern Hotel of 1864, which is a stunning demonstration of the town’s changing role after the arrival of the railway line in Colchester, attracting increasing numbers of visitors. For all of your home upgrades, make sure to make use of reliable professionals in Harwich to make certain of quality.
