Ceramic tiling is a widespread flooring option in kitchens or bathrooms. It’s commonly installed in these rooms as it is very durable and moisture resistant, particularly if you choose glazed ceramic tiles which include a moisture proof melted glass protective layer. This protective coating is immune to stains and dirt, which means the tiles can simply be wiped clean, making them very simple to maintain. Ceramic tile flooring is also relatively cheap, and comes in a wide variety of designs as they can be printed in patterns or to mimic the look of many different flooring options such as hardwood or natural stones. Nevertheless, ceramic tiles continue to be popular in traditional designs such as terracotta or dark gloss.
Ceramic floor tiling is installed directly onto a concrete or backing board subfloor with a layer of mortar as adhesive and finally grout is added in between the tiles to act as a sealant. Sufficient preparation of the concrete subfloor is vital when installing ceramic tiles, as any bumps or ridges in the ground can significantly decrease the life of your tiles and cause them to break or bend prematurely. Underlay cannot be used with ceramic floor tiles, which can result in them feeling cold in winter months, although a common remedy to this is to add rugs to accomplish a warmer appearance.

Kyle of Lochalsh is a town in the historical region of Ross-shire on the northwest coastline of Scotland, located around 55 miles (90 km) west-southwest of Inverness. It lies on the Lochalsh peninsula, at the entrance to Loch Alsh, opposite the village of Kyleakin on the Isle of Skye. A ferry used to attach the two villages until it was changed by the Skye Bridge, about a mile (1.6 kilometres) to the west, in 1995. The town is the transport and also shopping center for the location in addition to having a harbour and marina with pontoons for maritime visitors. The bordering views as well as wild animals are considered tourist attractions of the village, as is the slow speed of life. Crofting in addition to more current crofting searches like salmon farming are a few of the tasks taking place in Kyle of Lochalsh.
