While tiling is more regularly used to protect bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very desirable flooring option. Relatively low cost, floor tiling comes in numerous designs and styles and is suited to use in many parts of your home. Floor tiling is usually applied to bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and exceptionally sturdy, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are generally produced from ceramic or porcelain, but they can be purchased in many other options of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is very important to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also generally requires an additional backing board to be laid on top of the present floor in order to guarantee a flat finish and to maintain the lifespan of your tiles. After this additional board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to stick the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. The installation of tiles yourself can be a difficult job which may require lots of tile cutting, and any mistakes can be extremely costly to rectify or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a specialist to lay your floor tiling. Experienced tiling companies can advise you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and ensure the fitting is of a high standard.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It lies in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 km) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding suburbs of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were noted as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was launched as a base to make fabrics, Littleborough experienced an influx of families, mostly from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Upscale homes and estates were established on the borders of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and significantly sizeable fabric mills brought about Littleborough’s population growth and urbanisation, which caused its status as a mill town. Throughout the mid-20th century, imports of less expensive foreign goods contributed to the progressive deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the commercial diversity of the town helped it to stave off the occurring economic depression, which was experienced elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its special architectural qualities. The town also boasts great dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being appointed ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all your house upgrades, make sure to make use of respected professionals in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
