Renovating floors may entail an array of tasks, from cleaning and maintenance, repairing existing flooring or even entirely removing and replacing flooring. The type of renovation work will depend upon the form of the pre-existing floor. In older houses with period floors like flagstone, quarry tile or parquet, renovation is likely to require repair and cleaning of the existing floor as it will likely be an appealing attribute of the property. In contemporary homes with carpet or wood flooring, restoration is more likely to consist of entirely changing the existing flooring, either like for like with a similar material, or by changing from one material to another. For wooden floors, the approach of restoration often entails sanding the top layer of hardwood down, cleaning and then revarnishing or staining. Tile flooring can be cleaned and any broken or damaged tiles exchanged, accompanied by regrouting or resealing. For carpets, maintenance can usually only extend to cleaning of the pile, any further issues or damage will commonly require replacing the carpet. Experienced floor renovation companies will be able to advise you of the best solution to breathe new life into tired flooring or bring old flooring up to a high standard. Specialist tools may also be required for repairing or replacing flooring.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It is located in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 kilometres) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 km) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding suburbs of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were noted as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was introduced as a base to make cloths, Littleborough experienced an increase of families, generally from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Upscale houses and estates were developed on the borders of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and increasingly sizeable textile mills supported Littleborough’s population growth and urbanisation, which caused its status as a mill town. During the mid-20th century, imports of less expensive foreign items contributed towards the gradual deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the business diversity of the town enabled it to stave off the ensuing economic depression, which was felt elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its particular architectural qualities. The town also boasts great dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being elected ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all of your house upgrades, make sure to make usage of reliable contractors in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
