Laminate flooring is a very popular choice of flooring because of its durability, ease of maintenance, and economical price. A relatively recent addition to the market, laminate has rapidly expanded in popularity as a substitute for real wood or stone flooring. Laminate flooring is a type of artificial composite flooring consisting of several layers, often with a fibreboard core topped with a decorative layer featuring a printed image of the design, and then finally protected with a wear layer that protects the floor from scrapes and other types of damage. Because laminate floor features a decorative layer that may incorporate any type of image, it is available in a wide variety of different effects to mimic the appearance of many other flooring materials like real wood or slate. While the majority of laminate floor includes a smooth top layer, it can also feature embossed or textured effects which mimic other forms of flooring. Laminate flooring is suitable for a variety of rooms, but be cautious if you intend on installing it in a bathroom as specific moisture proofed laminate should be used. When choosing the best laminate for your property, choose one with an appropriate Abrasion Class (AC) rating, as this specificies the quantity of traffic the laminate is graded to perform well under. Laminate flooring is relatively simple to install due to its snap or click together design. However, it can be time consuming to install a substantial amount of laminate, and also tricky to cut the planks to the exact dimensions, as well as difficult to ensure that the correct underlay and damp proofing is fitted to suit your house. Specialist flooring companies will be able to give you advice on the ideal laminate floor for your room, and ensure that it’s fitted to the highest quality.

Littleborough is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. It is located in the upper Roch Valley by the foothills of the South Pennines, 3 miles (4.8 km) northeast of Rochdale and 12.6 miles (20.3 kilometres) north-northeast of the city of Manchester. In 2001, Littleborough and its surrounding residential areas of Calderbrook, Shore and Smithy Bridge were recorded as having a population of 13,807. When cotton was introduced as a base to make textiles, Littleborough experienced an influx of families, largely from the neighbouring county, the West Riding of Yorkshire. Affluent homes and estates were created on the borders of the town. Coal mining, engineering ventures and increasingly large textile mills promoted Littleborough’s population growth and urbanisation, which provoked its status as a mill town. During the course of the mid-20th century, imports of cheaper foreign products contributed to the steady deindustrialisation of Littleborough, but the business diversity of the town enabled it to stave off the ensuing financial depression, which was witnessed elsewhere in North West England. Littleborough’s stone-built town centre is designated as a Conservation Area for its unique architectural qualities. The town also boasts excellent dining and leisure facilities, with Littleborough Rugby Union Football Club being appointed ‘Club of the Year’ at National Ruby Football Awards. For all of your house upgrades, make sure to make use of reputable contractors in Littleborough to make certain of quality.
