Although tiling is more generally used to cover bathroom and kitchen walls, it can be a very desirable flooring option. Relatively low cost, floor tiling is available in a wide variety of designs and styles and is suited to use in many areas of your home. Floor tiling is usually applied to bathroom or kitchen floors as it is simple to clean and highly long lasting, as well as being moisture proof. Floor tiles are generally made from ceramic or porcelain, however they can be purchased in many other choices of material such as slate, marble and limestone, each of which will have a different appearance and durability.
When installing floor tiling, it is very important to ensure that the base surface is as clean and level as possible. Tiling also often needs an extra backing board to be laid on top of the current floor in order to ensure a flat finish and to preserve the lifespan of your tiles. After this extra board is installed, a layer of mortar is used to adhere the tiles down, and then the gaps in between are filled with grout to seal the tiles against moisture. Laying tiles yourself can be a difficult job which could require lots of tile cutting, and any errors can be extremely costly to correct or even cause damage to your floor, so choose a specialist to lay your floor tiling. Specialist tiling companies can advise you on the perfect tile to use for your room, and guarantee the fitting is of an exceptional standard.

Par is a town and fishing port with a harbour on the south coastline of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is positioned in the civil parish of Tywardreath and Par, although West Par as well as the anchors lie in the parish of St Blaise. Par is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) east of St Austell. Par has a population of around 1,600 (in 2012). It came to be created in the second quarter of the 19th century when the harbour was created, to serve copper mines and other mineral sites in as well as surrounding the Luxulyan Valley; china clay later on became the leading traffic as copper working declined, and the harbour as well as the china clay dries remain as distinguishing characteristics of the commercial heritage; however the mineral task is much lowered. Par Harbour and also the coastline at Par Sands are south of the village, and the last includes a large fixed campers holiday park; an additional tiny coastline goes to Spit Point west of the harbour. In between these 2 coastlines the South West Coast Path takes an inland diversion via the village. Par hinges on a triangle of roads which form a one-way website traffic system. There is a selection of stores, a post office, a hostelry as well as other organisations.
